I have so many questions about this delusional video I’ve just watched.
1. Why does the firetruck decide to blare its horns —for almost twenty seconds, mind you— even though he can literally just go over all traffic after elevating?
2. Can you imagine being that car in front and suddenly hearing that? At this point I assume the amount of people that died of a heart attack in traffic after being literally startled to death by this noise is way bigger than the amount of people that might have died in the actual fire?
3. Who is liable for these casualties? Would laws have to be updated to contemplate the liability of these autonomous machines?
4. Could one argue these machines are not only autonomous but also sentient, and apparently hold great contempt for the humans that created them?
5. How is it that when firetruck 2.0 arrives to the fire, there are already some firemen there? How did they get there? Who gets to be on the firetruck and who doesn’t?
6. What are these white projectiles seen at 1:04 made of? How do they even help?
7. From 1:30 on the video we see that this chilling, dystopian, gravity-defying technology does not only apply to firetrucks, but also public/private transportation. Wouldn’t having these hovering metal waffles all over the streets make it even more complicated for the noveau-firetrucks to get to where they are needed? Wouldn’t a regular firetruck save the day in this hypothetical scenario?
8. As if the sole fact that these things are stable isn’t already a miracle, what happens if a car hits these feeble wheeled pillars by which the machines are supported? How many people would be crushed to death?
9. Considering how much danger these futuristic behemoths have brought to this city, why would humans voluntarily invest in this? Is it to justify the billions siphoned off out the health and education budget to bring this to fruition? Or is it possible that this wasn’t even a decision made by humans, but actually by the robots they have so clearly lost control of?
